Yoto says: Head back in time with the BrainBots to explore the amazing world of Dinosaurs.
Meet the BrainBots: Nellie, Buzz and Gibbs! When school closes, these high-tech knowledge gathering robots come to life to find out as much information as they can for kids before the next school day starts. They can do some amazing stuff, too - think travelling back in time, shrinking all the way down to explore tiny spaces and getting where humans can’t… In this series – the kids are at Dino Camp! Each night after camp the BrainBots try to find out as much as they can about dinosaurs and upload their findings to the BrainBank - a big cloud where all that information is stored and shared to kids. Join Nellie, Buzz and Gibbs as they head way back in time to discover everything there is to know about dinosaurs.
From the meat-eating Tyrannosaurus rex to the long-necked Diplodocus and even a deep dive into the science of paleontology, the BrainBots will explore what life was like for these amazing creatures. Watch out for poop fossils!

Maker
My co-foundes were talking about the challenges of modern parenting. Both had nagging concerns around the effects of excess screen time for young children, with potential negatives around sleep disruption, fine motor control development and addictiveness of screens making them think twice about putting kids in front of a screen.
Having enrolled his children at a Montessori nursery, he was also fascinated by the teachings of Maria Montessori. She believed (amongst other things) that child development was improved through allowing children certain levels of independence, and to place emphasis on using physical objects in learning and play.
Despite all of this, they actually both are technophiles and big believers in the power of the internet and tech as a force for good. Screens aren’t always bad! Also, having met whilst working together in the digital music world, they really wanted to give their kids easy access to music and other audio content.
So they came up with the idea of a connected, screen-free audio device that kids could be fully in control of using physical smartcards. With no experience in hardware, electronics or industrial design, but liking the idea of a challenge, they got to work prototyping a basic device and started testing with their own families and friends.
